Sample Deer Hunting Lease Agreement

Model clause: it goes without saying that the tenant accepts the land in a state ”as we know”, and that the tenant understands that hunting is a dangerous activity and that there may be hidden dangers such as holes, fences, snakes, wells, marshes, ponds, pests, unauthorized persons in the countryside, other hunters or other risks that may cause injury or death, and the tenant assumes all these risks as his own responsibility. The tenant agrees to keep the owner harmless from all claims regarding losses, debts or other expenses resulting from the occupation and activities of the tenant. Note: A clause like this is not a guarantee that the owner cannot be sued, but generally increases the chances of winning a lawsuit or not being held liable. The statements or opinions contained herein should in no way be construed as those of a lawyer or legal counsel. The concerns raised by any of the above clauses are designed only for reflection with a view to good legal assistance.. . . .
